Limewire won't Initialize
 

After installation, Limewire tries to start up, but it stops at 12% initialization and no matter how long I wait it does not load. I've tried reinstalling it multiple times but it never helps.

limewire will not start!!! help me please!!
 

i paid in full for lime wire pro in the 8th of august and i still can not use it. Each time i try to use limewire pro i get this message "limewire pro was unable to initialize and start. this is usually due to a firewall program blocking limewire's access to the internet or loopback connections on the local machime. please allow limewire access to the internet and restart."
will some one please guide me through this problem or give me the number to call and cancel so i can get my money back, please help me!!:cheesy:

Try deleting your LW Preference folder. Instructions in this thread points 2 & 3(check both locations): Fixes for Limewire.

Also try uninstalling your current version of java while LW is completely shut down. Go to the add/remove programs control panel and uninstall your current version of java. Now download and install J2SE Runtime Environment (JRE) 5.0 Update 11(use the offline installer): Archive: Download Java 2 Platform Standard Edition (J2SE) 5.0 Update 11

Try downloading the one with the offline installer. When you get to the download page and the download window pops up, cancel it and use the offline installer.
