Limewire won't stay open

I have the very same problem on a windows operating system. it happens the same way just without the " limewire unexpected quit" message. I thought it was a java problem so I downloaded the latest java (Java 6 update 2) but still nothing. I have version 4.14.8. I would appreciate a solution.

Uninstall all your javas. Then downgrade to Java 1.5 -> Archive: Download Java 2 Platform Standard Edition (J2SE) 5.0 Update 10
