Can you recall what the last thing was that you downloaded ??
More than likely one of those files had a corruption within it and now it has corrupted your shared folder...

The best thing I can suggest is to type the last few files into your computers search using keywords and delete the file when it appears, also make sure you empty it out of your recycle bin as well, do this one at a time until you can re-enter your shared folder...

This more than likely has caused a corruption in limewire's preference folder/s as well, hence not being able to get limewire to start up, so you will have to delete it and re-set your limewire configurations...

This sticky will explain how to delete the preference folder/s...

Also after all that is done you may want to run a full system scan with your AV and spyware apps...

have you tried deleting the folder in question?

sounds like you have a 'bug' of some sort...have you tried a virus scan lately?

Usually it's a movie or a film clip that causes this, well in my case it was...

When you get the error report read it and see if in the code it says xvid or something like that...;)

in the error report:error signature i get this

AppName: explorer.exe AppVer: 6.0.2900.3156 ModNam: unknown ModVer:0.0.0.0 Offset 67706a2e

and it sends a file to my temp called 2d91_appcompat.txt

Nah to risky to touch just incase it does more harm than good...

We will try another way...
Delete limewire's preference folder, hopefully that will get you back into limewire and you may be able to delete (what you may recall) the last few downloads...;)
