Question Uninstalling Limewire Pro??

I believe that I have downloaded a virus through LimeWire Pro and I think that I need to uninstall it. If I do uninstall it, can I reinstalled it without any charge? I don't want to uninstall it if I can't get it back. If it matters I don't think that I've had it for six months. That's when they say my updates run out.

Hi quad.mom,

Uninstalling LW isn't necessarily going to remove the virus You'll need to update your AV & scan your computer!! There are also online scans that you can do, there's more info in this link.
WARNING: Viruses on network you should be aware of!
Make sure to scan all files that you've downloaded using LW with your AV, before you open them!

If you're still within the 6 month Pro period then you'll be able to download the latest Pro version. If your 6 months are up, you'd need to pay again for Pro. Remember that if you're currently using an older Pro & haven't saved the installer, you'll lose that version if you install another one. Always save & back up your Pro installers

If you're still stuck with a virus problem & need specialised help, try one of the sites below.
