Default Limewire stops at 12% at the box doesnt have a next button on pop-up

When I double click on limewire to start it comes up with the loading box, loads up to 12% and then a pop-up comes up and asks for language etc, and then it gets to one about firewalls but the bottom is cut off and there isnt a next button, there is nothing I can do. Please help!!

Try these fixes....
Try uninstalling all versions of Java from the add/remove programs and then re-install the JRE 5.11 offline version....
Archive: Download Java 2 Platform Standard Edition (J2SE) 5.0 Update 11

If that does not help with your problem try deleting your preference folder/s...This will reset your configurations back to default and get rid of any corruption that may of happened...

Default 12% (loading html engine)

I've got the same problem but with home vista. My old limewire worked fine but i upgraded, ugh! Now it installs properly but gets stuck upon initially opening the program at 12% (loading HTML engine).

I have tried everything I know. Safe mode, stripped all (and I mean all) non essential programs, the off line installer, new updated java, etc.

Nothing works.

Does anyone know where to get the old free download? At least it worked.

Thanks

Ok...this one is not so difficult. It happened to me several times and this is how I fix it when the problem arises(and it does alot). Uninstall your existing limewire. Then go into your c-drive and delete the remaining limewire file-there will be one left behind. You will find it in "program files". Additionally, go into documents and settings and delete the limewire file there(remember to save to disc any movies or music first).
Now...download a fresh version of limewire, but before you install it save a copy to disc(for when you have to do this again-and you will...eventually) then install .As it installs you will be asked if you want it to run upon finish of install. Uncheck that box. Then after install "run as administrator".
That should help you. It works for me
Good Luck

Default New issue

Thanks for the tips. I actually purchased pro and it does load with your help.

Now it will not connect to the net. I checked my firewall and it is not even trying to connect through it. No activity. And I am running it as Admin.

Thoughts?
