Default Difficulty in connection to limewire

I just downloaded limewire to my laptop today, very new to downloading music etc. The download went ok, I got the icon on my desktop to connect to limewire. When I click on the icon I get a green square telling me that it is 12% Loading HMTL Engine. Then I get another box saying Limewire Setup Box. In this box it says " Limeware performs best with full access to the internet. If the firewall or security warnings appear, please unblock limewire and choose to remember settings. Your firewall software maylook different than the picture below".

I have Norton Internet Security, when I checked the Firewall setting it is telling me that it is permitting Limewire access to my computer. I never get a box up asking if I want to allow Limewire access to my computer from Norton. Should I be getting one.

I have left the boxes on my screen and the green one never downloads it is always on 12% Loading HTML Engine and never connects.

Can anyone please help me with this problem, am I doing something wrong?
