| I was trying to uninstall lime wire post virus (win32RBOT, smitfraud, and Zlob worms. .It's clean now. ) infection and removal on a non-computer literate friend's computer, but things have become corrupted in the process. I keep getting a limewire popup that says I need to install a new version of java. I triple checked my java, and ran the updates needed, but now I'm getting these error messages.... LimeWire version 4.16.6 Java version 1.6.0_03 from Sun Microsystems Inc. Windows XP v. 5.1 on x86 Free/total memory: 31327728/33357824 com.limegroup.gnutella.gui.GUILoader$StartupFailed Exception: .\lib\hashes (The system cannot find the file specified) at com.limegroup.gnutella.gui.GUILoader.sanityCheck(G UILoader.java:286) at com.limegroup.gnutella.gui.GUILoader.load(GUILoade r.java:57) at sun.reflect.NativeMethodAccessorImpl.invoke0(Nativ e Method) at sun.reflect.NativeMethodAccessorImpl.invoke(Unknow n Source) at sun.reflect.DelegatingMethodAccessorImpl.invoke(Un known Source) at java.lang.reflect.Method.invoke(Unknown Source) at com.limegroup.gnutella.gui.Main.main(Main.java:44) STARTUP ERROR! Running Windows XP, Sp1 currently, though in the process of updating as I type, The latest version of limewire as of today, and a high speed cable connection. I have re-installed java, and limewire, without a change.....the error messages still appear. |
