New LimeWire user asking for help. LW unable to setup a port to listen for connection
 

Hi all,
I am chicho and just installed LimeWirePro in my PC-windows XP.
I haven´t been able to download anything.. In the startup it appears a message:
"LimeWire was unable to setup a port to listen for icoming connections. Some features of LimeWire may not work as expected". An OK click is requested.
Then, when a search starts, another message appears:
"LimeWire is currently connecting to the network. Your search may not many results until you are fully connected to the network". Again an OK click is asked.
After that, nothing happens, just a green bar progressing in the name of the requested search.
Doesn´t anybody has this problem???

It means your LW is not properly connected to the gnutella network. It is probably firewalled. We need more details to help you; System details - help us to help you (click on blue link)
