Please help!! "one or more necessary files appears to be missing"

My younger brother installed Limewire onto my computer. Everytime the computer is turned on, Limewire tries to boot up and an error message pops up saying that "one or more necessary files appears to be missing. This is generally caused by a corrupted installation. Please try downloading and installing Limewire again". Fair enough. Problem. I can't download limewire again because it says that it's still running. Well, it doesn't appear as an icon in the lower left hand of my screen, it's not under add/remove programs, and for one reason or another my task manager will not open no matter what. This window keeps popping up and I can't uninstall, run, or install limewire. Please help!!

hmm do you have a program like Pestpatrol? Some anti-spy programs will think of LW as being a pest because they are not designed to cope with p2p programs (poor programming or attitude.) Best thing is to put LW on its safe list.
