Default Help Please Emergency (getting popups, LW won't stay closed)

I've had Limewire for a long time. I just got a message that I needed to update. So Limewire kept pestering me to update and I finally gave in. Now I keep getting pop ups for different things. Like right now as I'm typing I'm getting these little microsoft internet explorer boxes that say "web page not available offline" . But I don't use microsoft internet explorer anyways I use firefox. I tried to uninstall Limewire but after I got it uninstalled a Limewire message box started popping up saying something like "files cannot be found so I kept clicking ok, and it just continued popping back up. So I reinstalled Limewire again, and now it is always on. I can't exit out, cause when I do it just opens itself back up.
I really just want to get Limewire off and out of my computer. I tried the whole add/remove program thing, didn't work.
Can anyone please help me. It's ruining my computer and slowing it down so much.

It sounds like you may be Infected.
AVG(free) might be able to fix it. Be sure to update it before you scan your computer: AVG Free Advisor: AVG Anti-Virus Free, then follow the prompts.

Hi, im new and your EMERGENCY is my first interaction. ANYWAY, DOWN TO SERIOUS BUSINESS! tHIS SAME PROBLEM OCCURRED TO ME WITHIN THE LAST 72 HOURS. DONT PANIC. MY PROBLEM STEMMED FROM BEING COCKY, DOWNLOADING MOVIE AFTER MOVIE FROM LIMEWIRE. I ALSO RAN OUT OF ROOM(2g hard drive), NOT EASY TO DO, JUST TOOK 60+ MOVIES, MUSIC..., ANYWAY, TO SOLVE YOUR PROBLEM, I DID EVERYTHING, DONT WORRY ABOUT UNLOADING LIMEWIRE, JUST RESTORE YOUR COMPUTER TO EARLIER TIME (BEFORE THESE PROBLEMS STARTED, PICK THAT DATE). THEN REINSTALL (LIMEWIRE + IT WILL TAKE OUT OLD VERSION (SAME) IT SELF AND YOUSHOULD BE OK. YOU STILL HAVE TO REDO SOME DOWNLOADS ETC. .. CONSIDER IT LIKE A SECOND CHANCE TO PICK AGAIN (I ALMOST DID IT AGAIN, MOVIE, MUSIC DOWNLOADING IS THE NEW HIGH!). GOOD LUCK. ismo.
