Installation problems Lime Wire 4.16.7 Baisc
 

I am using Windows Vista and when I am installing Lime Wire I keep getting an error message:
" This installation is corrupted. Please download and install LImeWire again."
I have tried many times and it keep happening. Any idea how I can fix this?

Thanks for the help. I have uninstalled Java and then reinstalled with the link that you have provided but I am still getting the error saying that my Installation is corrupt. I am just going to Lime Wire and download Basic for Windows is that the one I should be downloading as it does say the offline version but not sure where that is.

Installation of LimeWire finally
 

Thanks for the help I finally got Lime Wire to install in my Windows Vista.

1)I deleted all folders for Java and LimeWire that I could find in my computer.

2) Then I installed LimeWire which finally worked but gave me a message saying that Java will have to be downloaded.

3) It sent me right to the Java site and I downloaded it.

It seems to be working right. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction, boy I'm I learning alot.

This is all very interesting, but I am a true baby when it comes to "messing" with my computer. I am experiencing the same issues with installation. Limewire has an "urgent security update", I try to download, I get an error. I've read everything here, but I'm truly afraid to go into these places. I don't know where cookies are, I don't know where Java is, I just don't know. Does anyone want to hold my hand? :eek:

For updates, only do them directly via the website, not via LW. And best to choose the OFFLINE LW installer which they refer to as the non preferred one.
