corrupt files install - reinstall

Hello,

I've tried to install limewire (Windows XP OS) several times and each time I get the following report:

LimeWire version 4.18.6

STARTUP ERROR!

I've unistalled and reinstalled Java and limewire multiple times and nothings worked. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

By reinstalling do you mean using the online or offline installers? Online installers tend to be a little risky/unreliable.

Also in the Fixes for LW link, if the above suggestions don't work, also try changing compatibility mode & admin.
