Re-Install help
 

I just had a major harddrive crash and I am reloading everything new on my new harddrive. I had purchased Limewire 2-3 years ago and got lifetime membership at the time. The only option they give about redownloading the software is with the email address you purchased the software with. My email address hasn't changed in 5 years...but it doesn't have me in the database...what now ??? am I SOL ??? If I am this is serious BS, to offer free lifetime membership and NOT back it up. Any ideas from anybody ???

Well Newman, it is some Serious B/S because Limewire has Never offered a Lifetime Subscription. You were probably Scammed.
Only download LW from here www.limewire.com. So yea I think you are SOL

it was downloaded from limewire.com and it was most definately a lifetime membership at the time. I had another music share program which was taken over by Limewire, and Limewire was just taking off and I started with their original program. And if it was a scam...it wouldn't have been a scam against me...it would be a scam against Limewire, because I've used it for years and have never had bills to pay or shut off because I wasn't a paying customer

What some scam sites do is make you pay for the program, then give you a link to the Free version LW Basic program. ;)

There is NO lifetime membership & never has been for the 'official' limewire. See the link I gave above & comments made.
The Lifetime thing they say is simply to get you interested & they will usually also say 1000's of free music, programs & games, etc. The official LW never do such. If you really had LW Pro it would say LimeWire Pro on the actual program window.
