not allowed to re-download LWPro after wiping computer
 

hi. i have Limewire 5.1.4 currently installed, and it works fine, but i had purchased and installed limewire pro back when it was version 4. i was sadly unable to use it due to what i believe was a firewall problem with my old anti-virus (mcafee enterprise). i was recently badly hacked while i had mcafee disabled, though, and i was forced to wipe my computer and reinstall windows xp. after reinstalling xp, i purchased and installed kaspersky 2009 8.0.0.454. THEN i was able to download and use limewire (free version), but when i try to download pro i am told that my e-mail address is not in their files as having purchased pro. when i purchased it was lifetime (as is now), and i don't want tech support. just pro features. my computer has 27.94 GB of memory, with 21.11 available, my windows xp firewall is off, and i am at home (minnesota, USA) connected by a 512K ADSL connection through garden valley telephone company (my ISP). i am not sharing the connection, and i am connected via a thomson speedtouch ST546 v6 modem(?). what do i need to do to utilize pro? new york board of labor and industry?

Pro is never lifetime. I don't know where you bought it. It is either 6 or 12 months support, including downloading the installer. After the period passes you can't download it anymore.

Remember to always back up the installer for any program you buy. While most will allow you to download the old installer again, Limewire LLC is a company that doesn't.

You might wish to update to LW 5.2.8 btw ... far better than LW 5.1.4 .. loads & closes much faster .. can handle a larger library size much better ... has search filters ... a re-organised library ... download window shows all the time & is moveable up/down. It's not perfect & still missing tools from LW 4, however better than LW 5.1 ;)
