Limewire has encoundtered a problem and needs to close

I have gone through all the threads and haven't seen this one.
LW 5.5.14, Java 6.31
Both have been uninstalled and installed. Deleted Limewire preference folder. I don't have NERO or Alcohol. tried everything I have read.

What happens is I get the error message while LW loads. If I click close, all closes. If I ignore the error message LW will load and can be used! It downloads files, I can play stuff in my folder, acts almost normally.
But I have to move the close pop up to the bottom of the screen. If I close it the program closes.

Can no one help on this?

I have deleted everything LW. Deleted everything Java. Multiple times!!
Did a offline Java install, rebooted, then a new clean LW install. Same stuff.
While the splash screen is up I get the error message. If I move the message and ignore LW will continue to load and I can use it normally. If I close the error message, LW closes?
I've tried everthing I can find on here.
