limewire help after the installation, i try to click the limewire program icon. when i do so, this thing pops up that says: command line parameters: /L language ID /S Hide inizitialization dialog. For silent mode use : /S/v/qn. /V parameters to MsiExec.exe /UA<url to InstMsiA.exe> /UW<url to InstMsiW.exe> /UM<url to msi package> What should I do? |
Does it also occur for the LimeWire programs menu item, or just the desktop icon? Is the message that pops up a LimeWire style message or windows style? What is the title of the message? |
The message is for all of the limewire icons including the desktop. The title is installshield, so i take it that windows and limewire have something mixed up here. |
Oh how interesting. It sounds as if the install did not complete. I saw some posts having to do with install workarounds, so perhaps this is what you need to know about. Have you checked the other messages that make reference to this? I have not had this problem, so I can't help you exactly, but perhaps you should try FreeWire instead. It does not use the same installer (it is basically LimeWire, but no banners). Here is the link: http://www.freewirep2p.com/ |
k, i downloaded freewire. but how do i transfer my limewire songs onto freewire? |
Both programs work the same, and there are a few different options for you: 1) Move the songs folder into your FreeWire folder. 2) set the folder for your songs to the same one as LimeWire. I guess I would use option 2, that way both programs will have your songs available. So how do you like FreeWire? |
same problem I have had the exact same problem, I have tried uninstalling and re-downloading several times to no avail. Someone please help. |
yeah freewire is the bomb. thanks for the help. |
