Beta test 1.4

NOTE:
If you have been testing prior builds throughout this beta test period and recieve errors, please remove all .txt files in the XoloX folder.

Please go to the thread marked build 474 for the latest.
Thanks to all for helping out during the test period :)

**** Build 461 ***
Bugs fixed:
- EListError is fixed(probably)
- EAccessViolation in SocketdataAvailable probably fixed (connecting to Shareaza 1.7)
**** Build 457 ***

- Unhandled exception EThread
Exception message:Thread Error: There are no more files (18)

**** Build 455 ***
- Bug with "Runtime error 216" fixed

NOTE: The initial extra cpu usage you see is only temp - this is while xolox is hashing your library. the larger the library, the longer this takes.
-------------------
hello all, v1.4 build 453 is here for beta testing (below).
Please report feedback ! :)
( note , thanks to the coders who have been hard at work)

Highlights:
File Integrity: authenticity of searches & downloads improved with hashing for file finger-printing.
Linktech: One-click search and download files from weblinks make it easy to share your library. (magnet links supported)

- All EFOpenError should be fixed
- Errors in installing XoloxShExt.dll over another version fixed

- All EConvertError fixed found by date
- Additional debug info to trace EOSError added
- Bitzi lookup added to search results tab
- XoloX-to-XoloX direct download is now working ( for web links)

XP bug still there

The ERegistryExecption (at 0x00075BC6) still occurs if the user is not in the administrator's group. Obviously, this is a permissions issue. A reasonable alternative to fixing the bug is identifying the needed privilege so that it could be granted.

The out of resources error still occurs with about the same frequency.

Getting even more of these now.

Should this not be getting better instead of worse?

HMODULE: 4194304
Unhandled exception EListError

May just be the nature of the beast, by chance connected to right host at right time-- but after putting in 1.4 beta some of the old downloads that had been lanquishing for a couple of weeks went through overnight. Looks great so far.

Unregistered with the:
"Unhandled exception EListError
Exception message:List index out of bounds (53) " error.

Can you provide is with Operating system ( wXP, w98?) and when that occurs? Does it happen when doing a certain action like searching or trying to move a file... whatever.

Any info to track this bug would be helpful, thanks :)

Download Times

So far very good- I been getting download speeds in excees of 200kbps on a 600kbps cable modem. Just one minor problem: alot of my downloads keep hanging on 99% for a long time.

FWIW, getting quite a lot of these:

HMODULE: 4194304
Unhandled exception EThread
Exception message:Thread Error: There are no more files (18)
Call stack:
[004208FC]
[00420935]
[0050BA10]
[0051E2A5]
[0044A30A]
[0044D100]
[0044D238]
[0044D100]
[0044CD7B]
[00421C16]

Running on W98.

Sure way to make this happen is to hit Apply in preferences, but does seem to happen "on it's own" as well.

Also, my larger downloads now go so far, say a download section was dropped due to invalid information, and then reset back to a previous percentage. This is a continual occurance, and I find that by closing XOLOX every 1 percent increase and rebooting my system, I can occasionally hold on to that extra percent increase when the error crops up again. I have a lot of files on pause as I am trying to get some things quickly. Also some files seem to say they are now 0bytes or 38bytes long, while they were over 1Mb when commenced.

Running w98 1st ed on P4 1.6Ghz
