Bearshare has MP3 bitrate now
 

Here from the description of Bearshare V2.3.0:
Bearshare 2.3.0 was released today.[...] Some of the major new features are drop down searches, displaying of mp3 bitrate in search results of programs that support it [...].

Maybe it's worth to implement the metadata scheme from the GDF now. I expect more servants will follow soon.

For the gnutella community it's important we all 'talk' in the same language. We could develop our own kb/s protocol, but I would prefer to use the one already implemented in BS.

Does anyone know where to find detailed information on this protocol enhancement ?

So far I know it is the same what Gnotella does. Concerning to Vinnie, the MP3 metadata is stored inside QueryHits as text string after the first null (see Gnutella protocoll). I'm trying to get more details... however some sniffing might show what you need.

Limewire has metadata now
