Just because you're on a T1 doesn't mean everyone else is. If you are downloading from me, you'd be lucky to get 2K/s, and that's if I'm not downloading something. The vast majority of internet users are still using dial up conenctions. Until that changes, download stuff that's more popular so you get more active segments, or stop complaining.
