I forgot to mention, I'm using OSX 10.4.5 & Java 1.5

I also noticed on a no. of occasions, there were no buttons for Apply, OK, & Cancel for LW preferences. All I could do was close the window by clicking the red cross in the top left corner, after which a blank window would appear with a Yes button.
