Ouch you were scammed 4.8.1 came out in March of 2005 and hasn't been available at the official site since June of 2005. Their have been around 50 releases since then.

If it is pro it Will say so. No LimeWire does not have a lifetime subscription. And yes you will have to pay for pro again after 6 months if you want to upgrade. But if you pay for it within 2 weeks of the expire date it is $14.95 instead of $18. If you decide to get Pro only get it from the link below. You can also get basic there which is fee and is probably what you have been using.
