lol ... there are anti-piracy groups using 'all' forms they can to prevent copyright sharing. This affects 'all' p2p users whether they are sharing copyright material or not. Such groups are sponsoring private businesses to spam p2p networks (yes RIAA sponsors such groups, as does the movie, software & porn industries.) They also try to get political support via sponsoring their candidates directly or indirectly. p2p users should be aware of this. Worldwide laws on copyright protection & p2p have been changed as a result of pressure from these organisations. USA pressure with trade, etc. can make a big difference.

It is bothersome to see local laws changed as a result of trade pressures, whereas we had no such laws before.

This thread is a 'Be Aware' of what these organisations are doing. And if they are succeeding with political changes (note recent USA laws, one law just signed a week back), and changes elsewhere in the world, then people should be aware of which politicians are weakening to this influence.

Oh .. and I have friends overseas whose businesses have been put out of action temporarily due to viruses. Considerable damage in some cases to their databases of customers & product orders, etc. Took them ages to recover. And guess where the viruses originated from.
