hello,
I am trying to burn onto a dvd disc some movies that i have downloaded from limewire What i couldn't understand is why the capacity of the dvd-r disc (4.75GB), after going through a conversion software to be able to play the dvd disc on a home dvd player, drops to one half of what it could hold when i just copied the movie files to the same dvd-r disc! For ex, on a 4.75 GB dvd-r disc, i was able to copy 6 movie titles into it.

But after going through the conversion software, it could only hold 3 movie titles. Can somebody explain why is this so? Why doesnt it hold the same amount of data? Also, i have bought a dvd disc in the past on the sidewalks of a commercial district in Manila that holds 20 movie titles on one disc!

What kind of recordable dvd disc should i buy that could hold 10 to 20 movie titles after conversion?
