I had the same problem, I compiled and installed
V0.85 and it's the same: I cant connect any
host.

There is a .gtk-gnutella/hosts file. At the beginning
it was empty. When I saw that I could not find
any host I added hosts manually to that file, but
I still get nothing....

I also use Suse linux ver. 7.2.
