Bearshare is able to connect to other nodes (by default) BUT PREFERS OWN NODES... if you don´t believe me read the threads on bearshare.net especially Vinnies statements.
Use the search feature and type "clustering" and you will sure find some referring posts. If you don´t understand what he said ask a coder.
And will you tell me now that bearshare don´t block other non bearshare traffic when you turn on the freeloader option... I mean the "security feature"?
