Hey Got some problems with connnections, can't connect to limewire. Although I did check it on telnet I do have a Gnutella ok. I also tried all the connection host names that I saw previously on this forum, I am stuck, I think that this problem might be due to the college network since it worked at home. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Dazed and Confused

I have a 256mb imac, I operate on a Mac OS 9.1, never had problem before. Now I moved to Flagstaff, Arizona, to go Northern Arizona University and can't use limewire. Everything else is working, internet, email programs and such. I thought it might be the college network but a telnet program I downloaded says it is GNutella ok. Hope this can help. Anything you have to offer would be great. Awaiting your response

| Make sure that you're only using 1 software firewall & that it's configured to allow LW. Try the fixes in the post below. If nothing there helps, post back with your system details. If LW Will Not Connect

I had not used Lime wire for six months or so. Tryed yesterday and found I could not connect. Downloaded update 4.1.6. Still NFG'd. So I joined this forum knowing it could take a day of reading to figure out prob. Or I could post a thread and rile the forum gods for not reading miles of threads first. Today removed limewire sftwr. Redownloaded. Run. Poof all is well. Connected right away. I am on dial up, but was thinking about Pro. purcahse anyway. The thing that stopped me was I realized that move was no garranttee of a connectioneither. So before jumping thru hoops presented in this forum. Just try what I did.

I'm having a connections problem also, I thought it was because of a firewall issue, so I turned Microsoft's block on Limewire off and turned off Norton completely, but it is still not working. If I remove my original Limewire and download it again I will lose close to seven thousand songs. Any ideas?

I have spent about the last 5 hours looking through all of these threads and forms and I'm still unable to connect. I have tried everything from deleting the pref. folder and disabling the ultrapeer to the manual forward. I am using windows xp and have 384mb of ram. I am using a motorola modem with a linksys router. PLEASE PLEASE help. I dont know what to do. I was able to connect perfect before I download the new version of 4.18.3. It seems like this always happens everytime I download the newest version it always takes me forever to get it back up in running.
