ver 1.7d is the last version that worked
Since ver 1.8, I have been unable to achieve more that a few connections. Ver. 1.7d, which I still use, is the last release that actually works. I get over 1000 connections with Limewire 1.7d, but nothing since. I am using Limewire on a Win98 machine accessing the net on high speed SDSL behind a firewall.

(continuing the original posting) And I have tried each version of Limewire since 1.7d, including the lastest ver 2.1 and 2.1.2 beta!

Maybe it helps if you increase the allowed connections?!
