I heard that IMesh has 400,000, Kazaa 1.6 Million.

Maybe it is, but about 220,000 to 250,000 users at any given time is what the host count at limewire.com shows.

Isnt the host count information of limewire.com
only for connected limewire clients or clients which
are connected to the node router.limewire.com?

I think there are much more Gnutella clients out there.

no, the host count shown at limewire.com contains all gnutella hosts. LimeWire has got a crawler, a program, that connects to many hosts and collects pongs.

500k is to much...

The problem with Gnutella is there is no central server so its difficult to count the hosts.

the numbers from www.slyck.com for the gnutella network actually come from www.limewire.com.
