Help with downloading songs

I am new to Limewire have downloaded a couple of songs but when trying to play them all I get is a recorded message saying telling me it is an illegal download and to go to www.gatemp3.com. What is going on?? Please help.

I have just installed Limewire onto Windows XP but when I download a song and then trying to play it, it keeps coming up with the same standard message i.e. warning this mp3 download is illegal go to www.gatemp3.com and download this file for free again. Please please help desperate

Looks like a con site. Yes unfortunately there is spam on the network.
