don't know phone number for support
 

hi, I just bought and installed Limewire on my mac, but am not sure about a couple of things , particularly how I download the bonus downloads which I can't seem to open. I paid to have the support whereby I could speak to a 'living' person on the phone, but everytime I click on 'support' it brings up the title "phone" and there is no number there. or even any email .. I presume this is some glitch in the system, perhaps due to the fact that I am in the UK , but don't know how to get to in touch to remedy this, and so have made my way to this forum. would be very grateful for any help. best wishes, Astrov

It sounds like you've been scammed. There are no "bonus downloads" & there's no telephone support. Where did you buy LW & how much did you pay?

LW basic is free. LW Pro costs $18.88 US & includes 6 months of updates & email support. The only official site for downloading either version is
www.limewire.com ...always download from the official site to ensure that you're getting a clean version of LW;)

You should contact your bank/CC company & report this. Ask whether they can cancel the transaction for you.

I just purchased Limewire pro for $34.95 and i had problems with it. So I wanted to download it again but it is not taking my email address to get in. What do u-recomend me to do. All I have is my username & password that limewire gave me at the time of the purchase? What to do????

How long ago did you buy Pro? Are you sure that you bought from the official site (payment to LimeWireLLC will show on your credit card)?

LW don't issue you with a username or password to download Pro - after payment, you recieve an email from LW with a link to your personal download page. Have a look in your saved emails & see whether you can find that.

That link's valid for as long as your Pro benefits are current (ie if you bought Pro with 6 months of free updates & email support then the download link works for 6 months, likewise if you bought Pro with 12 months of benefits the link works for a year). Email addresses only stay in LW's database while the user's Pro benefits are current.
