i signed up for a 1 years subscription, but have noticed on recent bank statement that 3 times the amount has been taken from my account. has anyone else had this sort of problem

There's a couple things you can do:

1. Contact the site you bought Limewire from and tell them you know you were scammed and demand your money back. Some have a 7 day money back guarentee

2. Contact your bank/cc company explain that you were scammed into buying something that is available for free. They should have a fraud dept. that can help you out.

3. Consider cancelling your cc because you don't know what they might do with your account info now that they have it, and keep an eye on your statements cause sometimes they will tack on additional charges for stuff you didn't order.(I see they already have)

4. Uninstall and delete the version of LW you got from them because it could contain adware, spyware, virus ,ect. And scan your pc for adware, spyware viruses, ect.
