Help! I was having a problem upgrading my limewire and all I was getting was these error codes.
Error 1714 - The older version of limewire cannot be removed. Contact your Technical Support Group.
Error 1603 - Fatal error during installation. Consult Windows Installer Help (MSI.CHM) or MSDN for more info.
I tired to have windows remove the program but it would flash and nothing would happen. I manually removed the program and have tried to re-install but I am still hitting this same wall. I am a bit of a novice here and could sure use some help. Any help!

I'm getting error 1714, too. Plus, I have to do a hard shut down after I attempt to install (turning off at the power surge).

I'm running on Windows 98.

What version of Windows are you using,
rcon2?
