I have downloaded the 4.8.1 Limewire and downloaded and the current JRE, but the Limewire launcher says its can't complete without the current JRE. How can I fix this?

I think it's better to install Java 1st before LW. Try this: Uninstall Java using Add/Remove Programs control panel, then install Java. Then install LW. (There may be 2 or 3 Java versions on your system.)
