Probably been asked before...but.... "Limewire ran into a problem while it was starting up" "Sorry, Limewire ran into a problem while it was starting up. This is usually caused by a problem during installation. Try downloading and installing LimeWire again. If that doesn't fix it, visit www.limewire.com and click on "support". You can also send the bug to us so we can try to fix it" I purchased Limewire earlier today off of the limewire website, but every time I try to install it, this is the message I keep getting. I've removed Limewire completely multiple times and have kept trying to reinstall it, but this message seems to get me every time. Has anybody seen this message before and if so, how do get Limewire installed properly? Thanks in advance! |
Be sure you actually paid for LW Pro & did not respond to one of the Google/other search engine sponsored adverts. LW itself does not advertise. 2. Use this technique of re-installing both LW & java, however use your Pro installer instead of the one suggested: http://www.gnutellaforums.com/333278-post2.html |
Thanks LotR, I am trying it as we speak. And yes, LW was purchased from Official Website & Free Download - Lime Wire |
Grrr...still nothing... |
Try changing compatibility mode of LW & also Run as Admin, Delete the LW prefs if any, steps 3, 5 & 6 here: Fixes for Limewire (click on blue link) |
If you are running Vista, you need to right-click the installer & choose run as Admin. Do the same with LW's shortcut after installing. This is more of an installation problem, I'll move this thread over to that section. :) |
It isn't allowing me to access the blue link :-( |
