Ive read through a lot of the threads here and still cant get limewire working. Im using Windows XP professional.
I treid deleting the limewire folder from the Docs and Settings, but then when I open up limewire again I have to go through the whole procedure of registering my information / preferences again. Then the limewire folder is re-created.

I also checked out the firewall issue and I dont have Windows firewall. I am working on a VPN however and I presume this is the cause of my problem as I cannot override the firewall and allow limewire have access. In the past I used Gotomypc.com to remotely access my pc from other pcs and this gave me a popup screen that had the option of trusting that server. A suggestion: this would be a very handy addition to limewire as its the only way I can think of overriding my VPN firewall!

Can you think of anything else?
