If you want to use a later version of Java, don't use the international installer. It's really as simple as that.
If, for some strange reason, the English installer doesn't work, then I suppose you could delete the 'jre' directory in LimeWire, and it'll instead try and find another JRE. However, that entirely depends on how your system is set up, and could potentially cause problems.
The JRE is chosen before LimeWire is even started, so a setting within LimeWire will not work. (Yes, it theoretically is possible, but choosing the version of Java could cause so many problems that it really isn't worth it.) |
