Scroffa: many people are firewalled, at university, or other places that don't allow filesharing. Many people have the Windows SP2 which makes filesharing difficult (and sometimes impossible).

LimeWire IS fixing all they can. The newest version even has found a way to allow transfers from one Firewalled host to another.
