Default Yes we are sorry but...

Lives are worth the same in every nation... Or not. Here in Europe the news about the events in New York are wide spread by the media. But just think 2 all the persons that die every day on our planet for hunger, war and illness. 4 the rules of world-wide economy, besides other causes. But this is ordinary, isn't it? I can undrestand that it was a particulary violent and tragic way of dying, decided by few terrorists, in a situation of "safety" but the body count is still the same. And politically these deaths (but moreover the fact itself) will count more than the millions of Africa, South America and so on... These facts should make the United States (and all the "first world" with them) realize that collective tragedy cannot be kept outside our borders forever.
Last days Italy (where I live) was on mourning. But for the rest of the world we cannot even do that because we are one of the causes of his desiase.
Shame on us if we believe this and do not apply with all our forces to change the situation.

Carlo
