Have you considered updating to OS 9.2.2 & updating your Java to MRJ 2.2.6 for OS 9.2.2

Don't forget to Re-Build your Desktop after installing new softw: Restart comp & hold-down both the Apple key & Option key until you see a message asking if you want to rebuild desktop.
