The forced sharing is what can keep the network running. Else most people will just download, but only share while downloading and afterwards the file will vanish.
Even though I use Acquisition, which doesn't share my download folder at once, this is only, because my share is ful enough, that I normally have my upload speed maxed out at 80% of the time, but with the files, which I want to spread.
It is a setting for all those, who just want to get their files. If you don't want to share at once after downloading, you have to remove the files manually from that folder, which means: Behaviour, which doesn't aid the network is more work than behaviour, which helps it, which is exactly the right way to do it. And besiders: Through Partial File Sharing you contribute to a file even while you're downloading. |
