So here is the solution... too much traffic kills your Windows internet connection!

I have a similar problem in my office with the DSL router... time by time it freezes and I have to reset it (for heavens sake this happens only every 2-3 days and a reboot takes only seconds). Unfourtunately only Gnutella clients crash it, a *very* wild guess is... the little router's TCP/IP stack can't handle to many open connections. I never crahsed it with a downloadmanger even when heating up the lines, but every Gnutella client does. Here at home I use a Linux box as internet router... it never crashs.

It might help to upgrade Windows. In the Bearshare Forum I rememberd some people had trouble with older Windows 95/98 versions. Sorry that I can't help, anyone else?
