Have you tried playing your songs through another music player (ie not the LW one)?
Have a search on the forum & you'll find links to lots of other audio players. If this doesn't make a difference, try going for a version of the song with a high bitrate (will give you better quality). Maybe go for a modem or cable/dsl connection rather than T1 or T3. T3 is a bit suss.
