This message is to all of you who have been experiencing problems such as searching and connections, etc.
As Yytrium himself stated(I think he's right) the problem in your personal case is pretty much guaranteed to be related to the mass of users that came from napster after it was shutdown.
When Napster was shutdown, gnutellanet was hit with a wave of newbies, most of which are probably using really stupid connection settings, things like using many more connections at one time than they are supposed to.
You should know that this problem is not permanent, and should work itself out within the next week.(I have seen some minor improvement today over yesterday)
So taking this message into consideration, you can stop placing new topics on the search/connection issue.
In case the problem doesn't work itself and you just get mad at me for saying it would, I'll just jump in my gummi car and you'll never see me again
Note: Don't use more than 3 or 4 connections in general—also keep in mind that each connection uses approx .5k-1k in bandwidth.
