multiple network support has been discussed and there has been some development, but it is not yet successful (see some discussion the on the first page at http://www.gnutellaforums.com/showth...threadid=25685 )

Simplified--p2p networks use a lot of traffic just to maintain the connections. This traffic gets multiplied when connecting to multiple networks.

So multiple networks can reduce the efficiency of each, and searches and file transfers are probably suffering. Too, network loyalty and politics are involved.

This might change, but for now "multiple networks" is a controversial catchword.
