The most recent version of LW should overcome most basic firewall issues. However, you might even try an earlier version or the beta. (Previous versions: http://www9.limewire.com:82/download/ & Beta: http://www.limewire.com/english/content/beta.shtml & make sure your Java is at least 1.4.2 or 1.5)

If you do get the read the manual, see about opening ports (Port forwarding.) And open port 6346. If the device has UPnP abilities then see if you can enable this & set LW firewall setting to UPnP. For manual port forward see my link above for force ip.
