Question More Mac Connection Problems

I am running 1.7 on Mac v. 9.0.4. I've been experiencing many of the same connection problems as other mac users who have posted threads here. I am able to connect to the network, but not all the time. There is no pattern to the inability to connect. Sometimes, quiting and restarting LimeWire sparks a connection. Sometimes it doesn't. I tried changing the port in the "options" window, and (as I was warned in another posting) my computer crashed when I tried to apply. I accessed gnufrog.com for a list of current hosts. I tried applying the host addresses to the various fields in the connections window to no avail. From viewing the connections window, I can tell that LimeWire is attempting to connect. At this point it appears to show at least 4 attempts to load host 6346. I've read several postings with possible solutions and positive feedback. Unfortunately none of these haved solved my problem. Is there anything I haven't tried? I'm beggining to think this is a type of programming problem which can only be addressed in the programming of the next version. I would certainly hope that LimeWire realizes how many Mac users it has and how important it is to address this issue.
