What gave you that impression UKbobby? I downloaded Limewire directly off the site. I'm not some dummy that paid for Limewire, I've known about Limewire for a while now. I did get Winmx at winmx.com but found it never found anything I was looking for or the sources were always Null. I did make a posting about someone who said she got LW at a pay for subscription site, which I now know is a scam. I just never really paid much attention to it.
