Hmmmm I never liked AOL everything runs through "their" servers.

Is AOL your ISP or do you connect through another service, and then use AOL as your browsing source.

If you connect through another service like DSL, once you connect you can use alternate methods to access the internet. And close your primary connection source.

For example DSL with MSN premium sevice. Once connected open alternate browser. Examples Firefox, IE, or LW. Then close your primary connection service(ie. msn premium in your case AOL)-- It should prompt if you want to stay connected using DSL, which leaves the internet access open for other sources to use(ie. LW)

It is possible AOL may be filtering p2p aplications through "their" servers. I don't know just speculation, of course they would never say if they were, until they were caught with a proponderance of evidence.

Just some thoughts.

Have a good day
