My setup:
eMac G4, 1.5 GHz
Latest version OS X and LimeWire
Campus network
Whenever I try connecting to LimeWire, it says "Connecting," but never actually connects. If I leave it open long enough, I get the message telling me that port 6346 is blocked, even though the Web-based test page loads fine. I've had this problem before, and the connection usually goes back to normal if I try again a few days or weeks later, but I'd hope someone can explain it. I've tried repairing the HD permissions, reinstalling LimeWire, reinstalling Java, and checking my personal firewall settings, to no effect.
