Here's what I think is a great idea (disagree if you like).

One of the things about the GNet is that there are many copies of the same file everywhere. Perhaps something like a CRC could be created for each file when scanning. The client would then receive the filename, size and CRC form a number of hosts. Then when downloading the file, if one of the hosts has any problems, the client would then be able to download from another host. . .
